Our 2009 Carnival entry - a lot of busy bees!

 

Our very "pink" entry for the 2008 carnival came 3rd !

'Hell's Kitchen' - our entry for Rhayader Carnival 2007.  We have been entering the Carnival for many years - in fact the earliest photo we have is for 1960.

This is the second bench which we have provided along the walk from Rhayader to the Elan Valley - the first was installed in 2001 to commemorate our 70th anniversary.  Pictured enjoying a well earned rest during one of the few hot summer evenings this year are Julia Farmer, Gill Williams, Liz Lloyd, Pauline Haydon, Sylvia Richards, Shirley Jones and Ruth Hide.

This year we again took part in the 'Tidy Wales Campaign' although it has to be said that Rhayader was 'too tidy' and members had very thin pickings.  On a very wet and windy evening Helen Lee, Jen Oakley, Jane Narborough, Liz Lloyd, Sylvia Richards and Sue Price set off with their bags and tabards to see what litter they could find.
